UCD Student Residences consists of three no. 10 story autonomous blocks, including the Fulcrum Building and two student area blocks. Blocks consist of 290 seat auditorium, restaurant, retails units, gymnasium, health and wellbeing centre, meeting rooms, and office accommodation. Part of the development is also a five-story residential block. Multi plant rooms situated at roof levels service the blocks. Main plant located on roofs and services fed via riser service shafts. Riverside implemented successful BIM Level 2 c/w Asset register , one of the first in the country. UCD Student Residences consists of 3 phases The entire scheme will create a living campus community within University College Dublin.
Mechanical Services Installation of the New 25000m2 National Forensic Mental Health Services Hospital in Portrane is designed to achieve BER A3. Accessed through a spacious reception block, the hospital is laid out as a series of Pavilion Buildings that leads into the facility. Riversides Services included; Chilled Water, LPHW System, Ventilation Inc. AHU’s Supply and Extract Fans, Air Conditioning, BMS, Domestic Waters, Fire / Smoke Safety System, Chiller Plant & Water Management Systems. A central plantroom supplied feeding the 11 Buildings, which in turn had their own plantrooms at roof level. Another successful BIM Project as the efficient coordination of services at an early stage led to minimal lead in and early prefabrication. High emphasis on equipment selection, quality of product and installation led to a quicker commissioning and handover programme. The finished product is undoubtably one of the finest facilities of its kind in the world. Riverside are delighted to have played such a key role in its development
Installation of Mechanical Services for High End Development in Lansdowne Place. Project Trinity consists of a 7 Storey Building with 215 Apartments, the residences are designed, built and finished to the very highest specifications. Together with a purpose-built private Residents’ Suite with cinema, lounge, dining room and gymnasium.
Riverside are the main services contractor again on the National Indoor Arena Phase 2, after the successful completion of Phase 1 earlier this year. The second phase will provide permanent indoor facilities for Ireland’s three leading field sports: Gaelic Games (GAA), Football/Soccer (FAI) and Rugby (IRFU). Extensive indoor and outdoor facilities along with facilities of the Sport Ireland Institute.
The former Pod nightclub is being converted into a mixed-use building to be known as Station Building Two. The converted building will house three new retail/restaurant units and about 1,440sq m. with a new double-height reception area.
Earlsfort Terrace comprises of the refurbishment of the existing Block E and top floor of Block D Alexandre House, and a new two storey penthouse extension to Block E within the live working environment of The Earlsfort Centre, Dublin 2. The location is adjacent to The Conrad Hotel and opposite The National Concert Hall. Scope of Works included: Riverside services included; Chilled Water, LPHW System, Ventilation Inc. AHU’s Supply and Extract Fans, Air Conditioning, BMS, Domestic Waters, Fire / Smoke Safety System, Chiller Plant, Pre-Packaged Plantroom& Sump Pump Package. A particularly challenging project due to the location, the live environment and a tight programme. A LEED Platinum standard, Riverside had a key role in delivering this mechanical installation, not only ensuring programme deadlines were met but also an awareness of LEED Platinum and what that entails. Expectations were exceeded at every level on this Prestigious Flagship Project, culminating in a successful handover and certification. The Installation has been installed strictly to the specifications listed in C.I.B.S.E. TM13.
The Project at Charlemont Exchange Block D comprises of the Refurbishment and Fit Out of the existing building, a modern Grade A Office Space, split over seven floors. Riverside were the lead co-ordinator for the Installation of HVAC and Building Services in The Charlemont Exchange building. A LEED project which is located on the bank of the Grand Canal in Dublin 2. Riverside services included; Chilled Water, LPHW System, Ventilation Inc. AHU’s Supply and Extract Fans, Air Conditioning, BMS, Domestic Waters, Fire / Smoke Safety System, Chiller Plant & CHP. A tight programme with logistical challenges such as crane lifts, deliveries, off-loading and scheduling in the heart of the business district were all successfully negotiated with minimal disruption. Culminating in the beautifully designed building with triple cores facilitating divisions either vertically or horizontally allowing for one large HQ or multiple standalone HQs. The Installation has been installed strictly to the specifications listed in C.I.B.S.E. TM13.
