On achieving OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, our Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Alan Bolton has come onĀ board with Riverside and made such significant improvements to Riverside!
One of Alan’s first initiatives was to offer employee’s confidential conduit, where they can talk to Alan on any issues in the workplace or otherwise, to protect the wellbeing of all employee’s. Alan also ensures compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards and continually driving improvement throughout the projects. With Safety being of paramount importance, Brian has brought a high level of experience and competency that exceeds the industry standards and client expectations. Another critical element of Brian’s role is his excellent communication skills with the client’s H&S team, again ensuring we run a smooth project and deal effectively with any issues.
We operate to our company codes which are in summary:
Riverside Mechanical has a commitment to the Health Safety and Welfare of it’s operatives and this is enshrined in the Company Safety Statement. Strict compliance with all current statutory legislation coupled with intensive on site safety management through our dedicated safety personnel.
We maintain a detailed Health & Safety quality plan for our company and for each of our projects; we ensure that the content of our plan is communicated and understood by all our team. We strive to achieve zero workplace accidents and to eliminate or reduce workplace hazards where possible. Our objective is to deliver a snag free installation within the programme period.
The dedicated construction manager and project supervisor will always be on hand to manage the day to day running of each project. Hazard audits are carried out regularly to help identify hazards which could result in injury, illness to employees, damage to property or risk to the general public. A safe working environment promotes job satisfaction, less accidents and ill health and the direct result of this is a better service to the customer and ultimately a successful completion of the company’s activities.
